What we are
Buydreamegg is a paid publication — sometimes called an advertorial site, sometimes called a native content site. We partner with brands whose products we think are worth writing about, we use those products ourselves for an extended period, and we publish what we found. The brand pays us. The reader pays nothing. The article is clearly marked as a paid post at the top of every page.
We are not a review aggregator. We do not pull star ratings from Amazon and reformat them into a blog post. We do one product, in depth, with one writer's actual experience.
How we work
The Dreamegg Sunrise Beam was tested for 30 days by our editor, Sarah Chen, in her own bedroom. The review reflects her experience, her partner's experience, and — once it published — the 127 reader emails we received in the two weeks after. We did not receive a list of talking points. We did not receive a script. We did, however, receive a sample of the product at no cost.
Reader stories published on the Reader Stories page are real, lightly edited, and shared with permission. We do not name readers without consent.
How we make money
When you click "Get the Dreamegg" or any other outbound product link on this site, we may earn a small commission from the merchant. The price you pay is identical to what you'd pay going to the merchant directly. The commission comes out of the merchant's marketing budget, not your pocket.
This is the entire business model. There is no subscription. There is no paywall. There are no sponsored content placements within editorial articles beyond the partnership itself. There is no email list you didn't sign up for.
Who's behind it
Buydreamegg is operated by ATS Corporation, a Canadian-registered company based in Cambridge, Ontario. The publication is small — one full-time editor, a small group of contributing readers, and the legal infrastructure required to run a website in the EU/EEA, the UK, Canada, and the US. The team is led by Joni A. Robertson.
